Do I need to buy an Airtable Pro Subscription?

I think to get Blocks as a capability, you need Airtable Pro. Do I need to buy that to test my build?

  You can develop and release custom blocks on the free plan. To use the existing blocks, you'll need a Pro plan. When you sign up for an Airtable account, you get a 2 week Pro trial, which is a good time to play around with the existing blocks.
